Can I Find Out Im Pregnant After 2 Weeks

Being 2 weeks pregnant holds some of the same confusion as being 1 week pregnant. It depends on whether you are calculating your pregnancy from the date of your last menstrual period (like most OBs do) or from the day you most likely conceived (which only you will be in a unique position to do).
2 weeks pregnant - as per the OB
Most OBs start the countdown to a full-term 40 week pregnancy, from the first day of your last period. So, in medical terms then, when you are 2 weeks pregnant, most probably you're not really pregnant at all - yet.

The ovum is released somewhere between Day 10 and Day 19 of your menstrual cycle and can be fertilized within a 24 hour window period. So if you think you're about 2 weeks pregnant based on the date of conception, you are probably already 4 weeks pregnant - maybe even 5 weeks pregnant.
However, if you are planning a baby then there are some things to keep in mind for the second week of pregnancy.
Its ovulation time: This is the most likely week during which you will get pregnant. Having sex on every alternate day is advisable given that the ovum is viable for about 24 hours. Of course, that does not mean you can't have sex more often – as frequently as possible to increase the odds of getting pregnant.

Egg whites & ovulation: Sounds like an old wives tale but the secretions from your cervix change during ovulation which most likely happens during week 2 of pregnancy. Cervical secretions become thin, white and stringy, kind of like egg white, the closer you are to ovulation as this consistency helps the sperm swim to the ovum. And you thought we were going to tell you to start eating lots of egg whites or god forbid! Apply it in weird places, didn't you?

Aches, pains and soreness: Some amount of tenderness in the breasts, slight ache in the tummy or a twinge of pain in the pelvic is all normal and associated with ovulation. Most women do not feel or notice these changes unless they are highly sensitive to their bodies or are closely monitoring the week 2 of pregnancy.

Increased sex drive: Your body is ready to procreate and will do everything necessary to ensure that the egg is fertilized. So it is likely to get revved up, you're ready for some loving and will be emitting major attraction pheromones. Women may also experience great skin and hair days as this is nature's way of making them more attractive to the male species. In some cases even the sense of smell is enhanced so you can pick up the smell of male pheromones and get fu…rtilized.

Pre-natal vitamins : Whether or not you are 2 weeks pregnant, if you are planning a baby you should already be on some essential vitamin supplements like folic acid, calcium and iron. If you haven't already started, visit your doctor and get a prescription immediately for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

Pregnant at 2 weeks – What's happening inside my body?
If you do conceive in the second week of your menstrual cycle or as soon as you ovulate, chances are you won't really notice anything different at all. Pregnancy hormones can be detected by home pregnancy tests only when they are high enough which happens around week 4 of pregnancy. However, some women do notice changes as early as 2 week pregnant.

Morning sickness – It may not make a full blown appearance but you may find yourself not interested in breakfast or not wanting to eat your favourite foods at 2 weeks pregnant.

Tiredness – Unexplained tiredness or sleepiness is sometimes attributed to the increased nocturnal activity required to get 2 weeks pregnant to begin with. However, making and growing babies is a tiring process and this could be your 2 week pregnant body using its energy to help your baby grow. Total exhaustion and fatigue are also common symptoms.

Sore breasts, darker nipples – In addition to the uterus, the breasts undergo significant changes in pregnancy as they get ready to produce milk and this change can be felt early on.

Bloating – The digestion process slows down in pregnancy to provide extra nutrition to the foetus. This means you could suffer from gas and water retention at 2 weeks pregnant. But no, it does not account for that little belly you have. There's no such thing as 2 weeks pregnant belly. That's I-missed-the-gym-again syndrome.

Cramps -Just like your menstrual cramps, you may also experience ovulation pain, as your ovary releases an egg. The intensity of the pain varies as some women may feel dull, cramp-like pain in the abdomen, while others may experience uncomfortably severe pain at times. The pain usually subsides on its own and you may use a hot water bottle to get relief from the pelvic ache.

Changes in your cervical mucus -As your body gears up for pregnancy, your cervix mucus starts to become thin and stretchy and has an egg white-like consistency. This is because your body is preparing for the sperms to travel towards the egg and start the baby-making process! As your cervical mucus thins out and becomes more like a white gel, it helps the sperms to swim to the egg.

Increased sex drive -If you feel a little more than ready for some action in between the sheets, be rest assured that it is hormonal changes in your body, gearing up for the journey of pregnancy. Since you are in your fertile window, the surge of estrogen during ovulation may make you feel more passionate than usual. This spike in your libido roughly lasts around 6 to 7 days.
